PHG is hiring! In search of a Program Manager

The Patapsco Heritage Greenway, Inc. (PHG) is recruiting for a Program Manager to join our team. This Program Manager oversees our environmental stewardship and environmental education programs and assists with other mission-driven programs and events. Job responsibilities include managing staff, ensuring the success of volunteer-based stewardship programs including watershed cleanups, invasive species removals and tree plantings, and planning other educational activities and events.

Friendly and outgoing candidates should have management and leadership experience, strong organizational and problem-solving skills, budgeting experience and familiarity with grant writing and reporting. We are looking for good communicators familiar with e-news and social media platforms. A candidate’s knowledge of the culture, history and environment of the Patapsco Valley Heritage Area is a plus. The Patapsco Heritage Greenway (PHG) is the managing entity of the Patapsco Heritage Area, one of Maryland’s 13 certified Heritage Areas. We are dedicated to preserving, protecting, interpreting and restoring the environment, history and culture of the Patapsco Valley. We manage over 1500 enthusiastic volunteers a year in activities designed to protect and restore the Patapsco Valley watershed. In addition we lead environmental, cultural and heritage related educational activities including our signature Natural History Days and History Days events.
