PHG is hiring for seasonal event coordinators and assistants for the Environmental Stewardship Program.

Are you passionate about the environment? Do you love being outside and working with volunteers? The Patapsco Heritage Greenway, Inc. (PHG) is recruiting for a seasonal, part-time program coordinator and a seasonal part-time program assistant to help manage volunteers and run watershed stewardship activities including cleanups, invasive species, removals, tree plantings, and educational activities. Each year, PHG manages over 1000 enthusiastic volunteers in activities designed to protect and restore the Patapsco Valley watershed. Seasonal activities are held predominantly during spring and fall weekends and may require occasional weekday or summer engagement. Activities occur at different sites throughout the Patapsco River Valley. Required documentation or correspondence for each activity may be conducted on site, home and/or at the PHG office.

Program Coordinator: Summary of Job Description: Under the leadership of the Program Manager, lead and document programs and events throughout the Patapsco River Valley. Manage and coordinate staff, Stream Team and volunteers. Plan, coordinate, and lead service-learning projects, corporate retreats, stream cleanups, invasive plant removals, tree plantings, and tree maintenance and other programs as assigned. Complete any necessary follow-up work after events. Assist or lead workshops and education programs. Weekends and some weekdays and/or evenings required. Environmental experience required. Compensation: $15-$18 per hour commensurate with experience. Hours: 10-20 hours per week during the fall event season (mid- September to mid-November).

Program Assistant: Summary of Job Description: With the coordination of the Program Coordinator and Program Manager, plan, coordinate and lead stream cleanups, invasive plant removals, tree plantings, tree maintenance and other programs. Program Assistants may also be required to assist or lead workshops and education programs. Weekends and some weekdays and/or evenings required. College degree preferred, environmental experience preferred. Compensation: $12-$14  per hour commensurate with experience. Hours: 5-10 hours per week during the fall event season (mid-September to mid-November)
