PHG is hiring for seasonal event coordinators and assistants for the Environmental Stewardship Program.

Are you passionate about the environment? Do you love being outside and working with volunteers? The Patapsco Heritage Greenway, Inc. (PHG) is recruiting for a seasonal, part-time program coordinator and a seasonal part-time program assistant to help manage volunteers and run watershed stewardship activities including cleanups, invasive species, removals, tree plantings, and educational activities. Each year, PHG manages over 1000 enthusiastic volunteers in activities designed to protect and restore the Patapsco Valley watershed. Seasonal activities are held predominantly during spring and fall weekends and may require occasional weekday or summer engagement. Activities occur at different sites throughout the Patapsco River Valley. Required documentation or correspondence for each activity may be conducted on site, home and/or at the PHG office.

Debra Howard, a fine artist from Crisfield Maryland, is this year's recipient of the Patapsco Heritage Greenway award for "Best Depiction of the Patapsco River." Her award-winning painting "Stacked Rocks on the Patapsco" reflects not only the river, but the stone cairns which balance precariously in the riffles of the river. The painting beautifully captures the light and motion of the water.
