Current Activities

Community members will have the opportunity to provide service to our local environment & neighborhoods through beautification and improvement efforts. Our primary goals will be to:

• Remove trash and debris
• Remove invasive plant species
• Conduct Tree Maintenance

These activities are recommended for ages 8 and up. You may bring small children, but they must be supervised by their adult, and keep in mind that the work may not be appropriate for them.

Howard EcoWorks will provide:

• Tools and tool training
• Safety vests
• And work gloves (limited)

We recommend that volunteers bring:

• Appropriate clothing for the weather and the outdoors.
• Additional working gloves, or child size gloves for young children.
• Closed-toed shoes appropriate for the outdoors, ideally boots, some areas may be wet and muddy.
• Your own water and bottle. (We will also have water for refilling).
• Additionally, children should not be under the age of 8 years old for this activity.
