The Clean up Crawl- Sunday, April 19th.
Our first event takes place in Historic Ellicott City, featuring some extremely fun local bars and restaurants. Participants will assist with a clean up, trying to collect as much trash as they can. From there, you get to continue on to enjoy a bar crawl with specials at participating locations! Family friendly options are available as well.
Plogging- Saturday, May 16th.
Are you tired of your typical fun runs? Bored of the same old jogging routines? Come try a new exercise challenge, Plogging!
Plogging is a new exercise craze that is sweeping the world, allowing people to clean up their outdoor spaces and get fit at the same time. Coming from merging the Swedish phrase “Plocka upp” with “jogging”, plogging is the action of picking up trash while on the move. Participants will follow a 2.1 mile course along the Patapsco, collecting trash between the trail and the river bank as they go. All trash must be returned to the finish line, and prizes will be awarded to ploggers who bring the most trash back and find the most interesting items.
After the “plog” everyone is encouraged to join us for the after party at the Woodstock Inn.

Paddle Pickup- Sunday, June 7th.
Calling all paddlers! If you enjoy kayaking, paddleboarding, or canoeing or have always wanted to try? Join us and paddle with a purpose at our Paddle Pickup event!
Participants will launch from The Cycle Mill Bike Shop and help clean up trash from a nearby section of the Patapsco River. Volunteers are also needed to assist on shore with additional trash removal. After the clean up, everyone is welcome to join us for food and drinks with Friends of Patapsco Valley State Park and other volunteers!
